Start with a photo.
Add what it cannot see.
Use the camera button beside the meal input. Add a picture of your food, a label, or both. Nibb accepts up to five photos in one entry.
What helps
- Show the whole plate in good light.
- Add a label photo with readable serving sizes and nutrition.
- Say which part you ate if the photo shows a shared dish.
- Add cooking details, such as oil, sauce, or dressing.
The rice bowl in these photos. I ate half. The sauce was two tablespoons for the whole bowl.
One meal, several views
You can send more than one angle of the same meal. Say when photos show the same food, rather than separate portions. Remove a photo with its × button before sending.
Photos are a starting point
A picture does not measure weight or reveal hidden ingredients. Calories and macros remain estimates. If you later weigh the food or find the label, open the meal and edit its amounts, or describe the correction in the input.
Where the photo goes
Photos submitted for a meal are stored with the entry and sent to a model service for estimation. Progress photos are a separate feature. See the privacy page before sending a picture.
